I got this off Christine's blog. It was fun.

YOU ARE CATNIP

What herb are you?
brought to you by

Your first name of Pamela has made you happiest when you are expressing in some creative, artistic way, and not conforming to strict routine. In a large group of comparative strangers, you are quiet and rather shy, unable to express yourself, not really wanting to become involved in conversation. On the other hand, among friends with whom you feel at ease, you are expressive, witty, and quite charming. These contrasting natures make it difficult for people to understand you and can lead to friction in your personal life. You are deep, philosophical, and refined, but your extremely sensitive nature causes you to become depressed and self-pitying over any real or imagined slight. If you are not careful, people take advantage of your generous nature. You find the beauties of nature, fine music, art, and literature--all the deeper things of life--inspiring. The reserved, sensitive side of your nature brings aloneness and friction into your life, although you crave affection and understanding. You must guard against emotional excesses, which could result in depletion of energy, creating a desire for quick-energy foods. You could suffer through skin irritations, blood conditions, back trouble, and later, through arthritis. Heart, lung, or bronchial weaknesses could also result.

Omg ...How true this is....it's scary!

There is nothing really new here. Things are going well. I have not stitched since I got back from Detroit. I have done a little knitting tho, but not much.

Had someone come and look at the puppies last night. They said they were going to talk about it and call me back. Guess we will see.

Well I ended up taking an unexpected trip to Detroit. DBF got upset with me and had called me from work tues night and told me to pack my stuff and get out before he got home from work. I did it and he was so suprised I left. He didnt think I would. We had a long talk on thursday and I decided I would come back. I stayed for a few days to try and take care of house stuff in Detroit. I could not get into my house unfortunately as a lock box had been put on it. I think the ex quit making the payments! I am calling the mortgage company tomorrow to find out what is going on. I'm really bummed I couldnt get the rest of my stuff while I was there. Well if there is anything there. I have a feeling my ex has taken alot of it. The break back to Detroit was great though. DBF and I both seem happier. My being gone made him realize how much I do for him and how much he loves me. He is a show his love by doing things, not a tell you. I love all the things he has done for me but it is nice to hear the words every now and again too. I think he understands that now. I got to see my friend Marcy...I stayed with her while I was there and I got to see my dad. I have not seen either of them in 1 1/2 yrs.

I finished Never Too Big last night. He was fun and quick to stitch. I still need to decide what other ornie I'm going to do to finish up the fabric.

We gave the dogs all baths today. That is always such fun.

I also knitted some on the 2nd scarf today.

Kevin called me this morning to get my address. I guess Anna left some instructions in her note of somethings she wanted me to have. I am just numb.

I received terrible news today. My friend of many many years commited sucide last night. She suffered from bi-polar dissorder and took an overdose. I talked to her 2 weeks ago yesterday and she seemed to be doing well. She had plans and goals and was back doing her art work. She was a very talented artist. She seemed so happy. Im so confused by it. All I keep thinking is why didnt she call me!

I am very close to finishing Never Too Big. I just have the holly leaves on the right side and the To Believe to stitch. The rest is done. I still have not decided what ornament to do next.

I did get to stitch on Never Too Big last night and this morning. I should be able to finish him up tonight or at least be very close to finishing him tonight.

Cleaned Adam's room tonight. Took everything off his shelves and dusted them. Re-arranged some things a bit. Hopefully he doesnt mind.

I hope I can get some stitching done this weekend. Got most of the cleaning and laundry done already ... so as long as Mike does'nt come up with a big hunny do list this weekend I should have good bit of free time.

I need to decide what ornament I want to stitch on my last area on my ornie fabric. Then I can finish it and turn them all into actual ornaments.

I didnt get to stitch on Never Too Big last night, but I did stitch on it this morning. It is coming along nicely. I plan to stitch on it after I finish up on the computer. Got a couple things to do for Mike. He is back to hosting backgammon tournies on msn so I need to load some of his stuff back on the puter that I didnt after we reformatted.

The 2 puppies from Cleo's litter seem to be doing good. Shame we only managed to save 2 of them. With Lucky loosing her litter and loosing 7 of Cleo's pup's we have lost out on a good bit of income. Christmas will be a little leaner cause of it. Most of the family is getting baskets of homemade jam's and jellies and I've been stitching tea towels and xmas ornies to go in them too. And I plan on doing some special baking for them too. Personally I love handmade gifts....Hope they do too.

What would you do if stitching was banished by law?

I guess I would be tearing up floor boards and making false panels in the backs of closets to hide my stash. I can just see myself sitting in a room with all the blinds drawn stitching away where no one could see me. I am not a law breaker but I cant imagine my life with out stitching!

I have not worked on Never Too Big To Believe but I plan on it tonight after Mike is home from work.

Nothing else new going on here.

Wow it has been a long time since I posted.

Let's see.... We only have 2 of Peg's pups left not sold yet. Cleo had her litter on Halloween. She had 9 puppies but only 2 have survived. 1 was still born and the others died from either her having an infection in her milk sacs or when we gave her a flea bath may have contaminated the milk sacs. Not sure which it is but unfortunatley we lost 6 puppies before we realized the problem. So I am being mommy to the 2 left. Bottle feeding them is a bit of a pain.

Stitching wise hmm .... I finished
Peace Tree and Christmyth Dragon. I worked more on Fortunate Traveler. Started Never Too Big To Believe by dragon dreams and a Peace Tree over 1 for a xmas ornament. I worked on a second scarf.

Otherwise not a lot going on. Need to finish cleaning out the flower beds for winter.

Hmmm lets see whats been going on.

Dad was in the hospital he had pains in his abdomen took them a few days to figure out it was his gallbladder. They removed it. He is doing well after the surgery but his iron is low and they are going to have to give him iron shots once a week for awhile.

I finished
Merry KissMoose and Christmas Hearts finally. I have been working on the Rooster Huck Towel for Mikes sis in law for xmas. I have put more beads on Titania. All the the beads on the left side are done, just need to to the right side and finish the ones above her head and her antenae.

We canned 10 pints of salsa and 15 more pints of hot peppers.

Sold the puppy from aries second studing and one of the pups from Pegs litter born on 9-18-04, she had 13 puppies but only 9 made it. 2 were still born and she mushed 2 unfortunately.

Cellar is still not done. Probably will be working on it again some Sunday.

My its been a bit since I wrote.

We made Concord Grape Jelly this weekend. I think we are done with the jellies now! I picked the hot and mild peppers.. we will be doing those this evening.

The puppy from Aries's first studing (Onyx) got a new home. So did the Mantle female with the black face. So down to one...tho the pup from Aries's other studing is 6 weeks old today.

I still have not finished Merry KissMoose. I had to frog out one boot almost entirely as I goofed. That is twice I've had to frog out a major area. But he is getting close to being done now. Have a little bit to do on his antlers and then fill in the white background on the sign and some back stitching.

Wednesday, August 25, 2004

The puppy is doing pretty good. He has made himself right at home here. He and Lucky have be come playmates. She seems to really enjoy playing with him. And he does not seem to mind that she towers over her. When we first brought him home she kept trying to pick him up like he was one of her puppies.

The grapes are just about ready to pick. Guess we will be making jelly soon again.

The garden is such a mess. I spent an hour and a half yesterday weeding. Im going to go back out there today and do some more. I'm sure its a muddy mess as it rained last night. Everytime I weed it rains that is how it got in the mess it is!

I worked a little on Merry Kissmoose yesterday. He is coming along nicely. I think Mike will really like him. His sign originally said Merry Mooseness, but Mike has a christmas nic for msn zone MerryKissmoose so Im changing it for him.

Monday, August 23, 2004

Well this weekend we did a lot of jelly and jam making. 3 batches of Black Cherry Jam, 1 batch kiwi jelly, 2 batches Cranberry Jelly, 1 batch blue raspberry jelly, 2 batches Orange Marmalade, 1 batch apricot jelly, 1 batch peach jam, 1 batch tropical blend jelly, 1 batch apple jelly, 1 batch cinnamon apple jelly. I think that was all. Once the Grapes are ripe we will be making 2 batches of grape jelly.

I did not get much stitching done this weekend tho.

We picked up the black Male puppy from Aries's first studding expierence. He was born on July 5, 2004. He is very sweet and seems to be smart. So we are back to 3 to sell!

Tuesday, August 17, 2004

Sold another puppy on Sunday. We went fishing Sunday evening. Was a beautiful spot near some land we are trying to see about buying to build a new house on. Yesterday we canned Black Plum Jam and Red Plum Jam. They are Yummy. Today I worked on Joyus Noel for a littley while and frogged out what I had done on Merry Kissmoose. Watched Leauge of Extrodinary Gentleman. Was good but not what I thought it was going to be. Other than that not much the last couple days. Cleaning and cleaned out the refridgerator.

Saturday, August 14, 2004

Let's see.. Sold a puppy today. Yea!

I started on Merry Mooseness last night and today I realized I missed an entire hump on his antlers so I have to frog out what I did already. Charted the sign for Merry Kissmoose instead. Mike has a nic on the zone for at christmas time... KissMoose so I changed it for him :) We set up the tent in the field out back and built a fire pit. Since we didnt get to go camping this weekend doing out back instead. Did not get any stitching done today the bit I did I have to frog so.

Friday, August 13, 2004

Well yesterday I was running around so much trying to get ready for our camping trip I didnt have time to write. I got to work a little on Not A Creature Was stirring otherwise I was running to about 5 different stores and packing stuff.

Today I went to the laundry mat and washed our sleeping bags something i was going to do yesterday and ran out of time. While I was waiting for them to wash and dry I finished
Not A Creature Was Stirring. It was a fun ornament to stich. Now I have to decide what to do as my 3rd one I wanted to get done as a goal for this month. Kind of a toss up between Merry Mooseness or a pretty glass ornament looking one.

We have decided not to go camping. The kid has football practice and doesnt want to miss it and its too much work to just go for basically 1 1/2 days then. So we will just do some day trips fishing and stuff and get some stuff done around the house.

Had a couple of calls today about puppies. Really wish we could sell a couple!

August 11, 2004

This morning I worked on Dragon Dreams "Not A Creature Was Stirring" from the JCS ornament issue I forget what year. Im really enjoying working on ornaments right now. I finished Just Nan's Christmas Butterfly earlier this week. I love how it turned out. The colors are beautiful. I really enjoyed learning to can on sunday. We spent saturday morning picking elderberries and getting them off the stems and turned into juice. Sunday we made Elderberry Jelly 10 - 12oz cans; 11 - 8 oz; 6 & 1/2 pints of syrup and 2 gallons of juice. I can't wait to can more stuff.
